Buenos Aires, December 1 (NA) -- The City Police detained two men and one woman with outstanding warrants on Monday during security checks conducted by the Ministry of Security at the match between Barracas Central and Gimnasia y Esgrima La Plata. According to the Argentine News Agency, the procedures were carried out at the entrances to the Claudio Fabián Tapia stadium while staff checked the identification of fans entering the venue. The first detainee, a 23-year-old man, had an outstanding warrant since April 22, 2025, for simple sexual assault, as ordered by the Criminal Oral Court No. 19. The second man, 27, had an active arrest warrant from November 19, 2025, for theft by climbing, as instructed by the Criminal Oral Court No. 20. Finally, the 37-year-old woman had an outstanding warrant since April 19, 2024, for fraud, as promoted by the National Criminal and Correctional Court No. 5. Between January and mid-November 2025, the "Safe Tribune" program allowed the City to detain 55 fugitives in over 300 matches for crimes such as homicide, sexual assault, robbery, and drug trafficking.
